This year marks the 50^th Anniversary of the National Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA), and the American Samoa Government – Department of Commerce (DOC) which administers the CZMA program, is celebrating this milestone along with their Annual Coast Week activities on September 19^th to 24^th, 2022.  In partnering with DOC each year for coast week events, Bluesky has excitedly agreed to sponsor a Fireworks Show in the bay area to top off the CZMA anniversary and Coast Week celebrations.

While this would be the fourth time Bluesky has brought fireworks to the territory, this year’s event is extra special to celebrate a country that has faced challenges since 2020 due to the effects of the COVID pandemic. Bluesky anticipates this would be an opportune time to bring back some joy to our community after managing and navigating their lives through code red restrictions. 

As always, Bluesky focuses on being of service to American Samoa. With this year’s Fireworks Show, Bluesky partners with DOC and our government to celebrate our people and applaud their tenacious and resilient spirit. The Fireworks Show is set to display on September 24^th, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Su’igaula Beach Park in Utulei.
