Fiji Day commemorates two key events in the island nation’s history:

–The ceding of Fiji to the United Kingdom in 1874 & Fiji gaining independence from it in 1970 (This year being the 50th Year since independence.)

It is no question about the size of the Fijian Community here in American Samoa, and all the blessings they bring with them as we share our island home paradise together. Here at Bluesky we employ a great variety of different races and we are also blessed to have our Pacific brothers and sisters within our own staff, and mainly management.

Aside from the sponsorship items that were requested, Bluesky was also honored that the Fijian Community called upon CEO Justin Tuiasosopo to be the chief guest of the day.

It was a great day of fun, games, food, and most importantly; culture.
