During the first week of October, Bluesky joined the international celebration of Customer Service Week, where the theme was “The Power of Service”. In accordance with the theme, one of Bluesky’s primary activities during the week was a coin drive to raise proceeds toward the American Samoa Red Cross.

During the Customer Service week coin drive, Bluesky’s staff managed to raise $1,000. Bluesky then matched that amount with another $1,000, bringing the total donation amount to $2,000 for the American Samoa Red Cross. 

Being that the theme of Customer Service Week was “The Power of Service”, it was very fitting that Bluesky donated their coin drive proceeds to the American Samoa Red Cross because of the ways that the Red Cross has provided disaster relief for our community in our most trying of times. And being that the beginning of November marks the start of American Samoa’s hurricane season, this donation to the American Samoa Red Cross to aid emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education is all the more relevant.
